Ammonite
The ammonite is one of nature’s most perfect forms. Extinct for sixty-five million years yet astonishingly preserved, its logarithmic spiral has long been regarded as a symbol of evolution, continuity, and the eternal unfolding of life. In many traditions it is considered a stone of protection and grounding, a keeper of deep time.
Placed atop Kathy Cady’s ceramic vessels, an ammonite feels neither added nor adorned. It belongs. Earth meeting earth, ancient meeting handmade, the spiral drawing the eye inward and the spirit toward stillness.
